I'm a Wisconsin native who has called Annapolis Maryland home since 2006. I live with my husband, two sons, and the cutest dog ever.
In addition to ornaments, I've painted murals at local businesses and private residences, as well as paintings for family and friends.
When designing the ornaments I only use a metal quill and calligraphy ink for writing. I paint with acrylics and use an extremely small brush to paint in the illustrations. I hadn't worked with quill & ink on a glass before, but I was majoring in art and using many different mediums, so I thought I'd give it a try given . I picked it up pretty quickly, and worked at the Christmas Shoppe for 2 holiday seasons, writing on hundreds of ornaments. After graduation, I didn't touch an ornament for years.
In 2008 I grabbed a box of ornaments and tried out my old skills with the quill & ink. Fortunately, it came back to me as if I had never stopped. I created a few ornaments for family & friends, who all encouraged me to start selling them because they were so unique. So here we are….
